Mark Iverson named WHWC General Manager

Yucaipa, CA –  Western Heights Water Company is pleased to announce the selection of Mark Iverson as its General Manager. “After an extensive and deliberate selection process, we are excited that Mark will lead Western Heights as we continue to provide quality, affordable water to our customers,” said Dr. Robert Zappia, Western Height’s Board President.

Mark came to Western Heights from Eastern Municipal Water District in Perris, CA where he served as the Director of Maintenance from 2005 to 2017. Prior to his appointment in May, Mark worked as a water professional at leading engineering and water firms including CH2M Hill, Montgomery Watson, PBS&J, and Poseidon Resources.

Mark brings over 30 years of expertise in the water industry to Western Heights. He specializes in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of municipal water and wastewater facilities. His distinguished career also includes work in trouble-shooting, conventional and alternative project delivery, asset management, design project management, construction management, leader-employee relations, and environmental permitting.

Mark earned his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

In his free time, Mark enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities. He is a professional firearms instructor at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Las Vegas, NV. Mark is also an accomplished martial artist with a 3rd degree black belt in aikido. He teaches martial arts and self-defense classes.
